Armita Bakhtmand, PA-C was born and raised in Tehran, Iran. From a young age, she exhibited a passion for helping others and a keen interest in medicine. She pursued her dream by attending Yazd State University of Medical Sciences, where she earned her medical degree and became a licensed primary care physician and assisted in drug rehabilitation. Her passion for medicine and helping others led her to pursue a career that focused on both physical and mental health.
After practicing medicine in Iran for seven years, she made the bold decision to move to the United States with her husband and daughter in pursuit of further professional growth and opportunities. In the U.S., she encountered the unique challenges and opportunities of the American healthcare system, which inspired her to seek a different path to continue practicing medicine. Being motivated by a desire to continue helping patients, she chose to transition to become a Physician Assistant. She completed her PA-C training program at West Chester University of Pennsylvania. After completing her PA training, she chose to specialize in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN), a field that resonated with her desire to support women's health throughout all stages of life. Her background in primary care and drug rehabilitation provided a unique perspective that she integrated into her practice, ensuring comprehensive care for her patients. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and her two daughters, exploring the diverse cultural offerings and staying connected to her Iranian roots through music, art, and cuisine.
